Postage Discounts

Australia Post offer a range of discounts that are easily accessible by using a Postage Meter.

By using a Postage Meter you automatically receive a 2.5 % rebate on all postage used, regardless of
volume.

A 10 % discount in postage is available by simply printing mailing addresses in capital letters,
therefore, you simply print 45c on all outgoing mail, when the volume is 300 letters or more.

If you barcode your mail, discounts start at 4.5 % and can be as high as 27 %, that's 36.3 c, per DL
sized envelope. Barcoded addresses are generated with a basic software program which can be
supplied at a cost of $250.00 per year. The basic requirements for barcoding discounts are mail
volumes of 300 letters or more at one time.

The Clean Mail Service

The Clean Mail Service is available to customers who prepare a minimum of 300 letters of a standard
suitable for processing by mechanised letter sorting equipment.

How do I access the Clean Mail Service? - A minimum of 300 letters of the same size category are
required per lodgement to access the Clean Mail Service.

Local Country Delivery Service

The local delivery service benefits mail users in country areas. It provides them with lower postage prices for letters
that they lodge over the counter at the office of delivery.

To be eligible for local delivery prices a sender must: - reside or carry on business in a postcode area serviced by the
office of delivery, reside or carry on business in a postcode area that adjoins any of these postcode areas.

The local delivery letter service operates only in the postcodes shown below.

Conditions: - At least 50 letters, or 10 in a small community (fewer than 1000 delivery points) lodged over the counter
of the Post Office of delivery. - The same sender's address in the local postcode area on the outside of each envelope.
